The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jordyn Tyson fell into slot 239. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In the end it comes back to David Bailey, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 29 they get juice off the edge, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Dillon Thieneman at the 57th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
