Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins did enough to get by: C+.

Nobody else had Beaux Limmer anywhere near the 55th overall pick. The Dolphins did, by 73 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.

Landing Thrash that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

If Troy Fautanu and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.21 · Pick 21 · Troy Fautanu · OT · rank 23
Troy Fautanu in slot 21 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Beaux Limmer · C · rank 128
Value said wait; Beaux Limmer in the 55th pick says they were not listening. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.22 · Pick 158 · Beau Brade · S · rank 134
Steal is underselling it; Beau Brade at pick 158 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R6.9 · Pick 184 · Jamari Thrash · WR · rank 131
They robbed the room for Jamari Thrash here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.23 · Pick 198 · LaDarius Henderson · OT · rank 253
LaDarius Henderson at pick No. 198 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R7.21 · Pick 241 · Johnny Dixon · CB · rank 190
Johnny Dixon at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
