Start where it matters. The Patriots took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.

The cost of the Walker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Hunt pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

So much rides on Drake Maye that the real verdict is a season or two away.
