You could see the war room lean forward. Jake Golday at the 123rd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
Reaching for Slaughter left real value on the table behind him. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
