The tape said wait; the Titans did not. Miller Moss went at pick No. 184, a good 75 picks before the board was ready. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Getting Roberts where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 4th pick they get a problem off the edge at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Joshua Josephs in Round 2, Pick 3 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board had cheaper options than Deontae Lawson at the 66th overall pick, and it noticed. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Oscar Delp this early at slot 101. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Brian Parker II all the way to pick No. 142, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Billy Schrauth in pick 144 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Miller Moss at the 184th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They will replay Jaeden Roberts at No. 194 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Nyjalik Kelly in slot 225 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
