This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Brenden Rice, the No. 113 name on the board, stolen at Round 4, Pick 34. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
If Marks pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a difference-maker at receiver, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A tidy bit of business in Round 2, Pick 25, where Chris Braswell graded well above the range. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dominick Puni. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Gabriel Murphy in No. 125 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Brenden Rice at the 134th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They took Braden Fiske at par in slot 167, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
A reach on Fabien Lovett in the 171st pick; the board had better options right there. The roster fit checks out.
The board had cheaper options than Jo'Quavious Marks at pick No. 175, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No drama and no debate, Oronde Gadsden II went about where he belonged in the 203rd pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
