The Dolphins torched the value chart for Trevor Keegan, taking him 41 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, McGlothern at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick-by-Pick
Zach Frazier at No. 55 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Patrick Paul. It fills a real need, too.
A real head-scratcher, Trevor Keegan in the 103rd overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nothing to complain about; Kitan Oladapo went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Dwight McGlothern in pick No. 184 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Cornelius Johnson in slot 198. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reach on LaDarius Henderson in the 241st overall pick; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
