The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named quarterback, a need the Dolphins walked right past. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Every board in the league had Robinson lower, and that gap is the story. Getting Mustapha where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 21 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Zach Frazier at Round 2, Pick 23 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
They reached into another round for Layden Robinson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Malik Mustapha slipping to the 184th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Value with a capital V on Cornelius Johnson in pick 198, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A reach on LaDarius Henderson in No. 241; the board had better options right there. The roster fit checks out.
