Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
Landing Guyton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. If Allen pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Brian Thomas Jr.. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kamren Kinchens in pick 41. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Tyler Guyton at pick No. 57 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Gabriel Murphy in the 88th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Tyler Davis in the 91st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Fair-plus on Kris Abrams-Draine, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A premium they did not need to pay, Braelon Allen a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
