The Dolphins' one glaring miss is quarterback, a need they left exactly as they found it.
Reaching for Frazier left real value on the table behind him. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
Zach Frazier at Round 2, Pick 10 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A straight-up fair deal on Patrick Paul at the Round 2 slot, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Christian Mahogany at pick No. 86 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A tidy little value on Gabriel Murphy in the 94th overall pick, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Cole Bishop in slot 108. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They paid up for Trevor Keegan at the 129th pick when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
Layden Robinson in No. 158 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A clean, defensible pick in pick 184 with a little surplus value in Jha'Quan Jackson. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
