The rest of the league will want that one back. Roc Taylor tumbling to the Commanders in slot 250 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
They will need Kiser to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th overall pick they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jared Ivey. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Hollin Pierce in slot 79 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jack Kiser well ahead of where he belonged. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jason Marshall Jr. at the Round 6 slot is the proof. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
You do not let a running back like Woody Marks reach the 238th pick and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Roc Taylor at the 250th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
