The rest of the league will want that one back. Kamal Hadden tumbling to the Dolphins in pick 241 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
The Henderson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
Jordan Morgan at the 34th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No drama and no debate, Braden Fiske went about where he belonged in the 55th pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A premium they did not need to pay, Sedrick Van Pran a notch or two before his time. The roster fit checks out.
Renardo Green in pick 104 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Layden Robinson well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Javion Cohen in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jamari Thrash at Round 5, Pick 22 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Jarrian Jones at pick No. 184 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Jaylen Harrell at Round 6, Pick 11 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A wild overpay on LaDarius Henderson in the 193rd pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Cornelius Johnson in slot 198 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They will replay Kamal Hadden at the 241st overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
