Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Cardinals to leave a draft. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
The Williams reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Landing Sanders that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd pick they get protection for the quarterback, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
The board had T.J. Sanders higher than pick 53, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
