The rest of the league will want that one back. Tyler Booker tumbling to the Cardinals in the Round 6 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a problem off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Taking Emeka Egbuka in pick No. 53 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Somehow T.J. Sanders was still sitting there in No. 84, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Dontay Corleone slipping to slot 123 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It fills a real need, too.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Tyler Booker reach Round 6, Pick 7 and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
