The Falcons went off the board in a big way for CJ Daniels, 23 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
On value alone, Law makes the weekend a net positive. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Emmanuel Pregnon at the 48th overall pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Keionte Scott at No. 79. A minor need, but a need all the same.
CJ Daniels at pick No. 122 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Circle this one: Kendrick Law at pick 215 is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Brandon Cleveland in Round 7, Pick 15 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
