There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cardinals started one anyway for LT Overton, 69 picks ahead of schedule. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
Quinn Ewers gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Grant at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 18 they get a long-term answer under center, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Value with a capital V on Armand Membou in pick 50, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kenneth Grant at the 82nd pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
This one needs a full-page explanation: LT Overton in slot 119, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Davison Igbinosun in Round 5, Pick 17 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
