Cleveland Browns

The Browns found their guy under center in Sanders: B.

The Browns spent the pick that matters most on Shedeur Sanders, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

Nash falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They are betting Frazier proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.2 · Pick 2 · Shedeur Sanders · QB · rank 10
In No. 2 they get the arm they will build around, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.1 · Pick 33 · Luther Burden III · WR · rank 14
Taking Luther Burden III in pick 33 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R3.3 · Pick 67 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 55
Value with a capital V on TreVeyon Henderson in pick No. 67, a genuine coup. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R3.30 · Pick 94 · Danny Stutsman · LB · rank 86
Nice patience on Danny Stutsman, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R4.2 · Pick 103 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 87
Andrew Mukuba in slot 103 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R5.26 · Pick 165 · Nick Nash · WR · rank 141
Somehow Nick Nash was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 26, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.3 · Pick 181 · Jack Nelson · OT · rank 170
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jack Nelson in the 181st overall pick. It fills a real need, too.
R6.16 · Pick 194 · Cobee Bryant · CB · rank 175
Cobee Bryant at the 194th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R6.24 · Pick 202 · Nazir Stackhouse · DL · rank 193
A slide stopped in the 202nd pick, with Nazir Stackhouse worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R6.38 · Pick 216 · Jordan Hancock · S · rank 199
The board had Jordan Hancock higher than the 216th overall pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.39 · Pick 217 · Miles Frazier · OG · rank 240
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Miles Frazier. The roster fit checks out.
R7.39 · Pick 257 · Shilo Sanders · S · rank 272
The board had cheaper options than Shilo Sanders at pick No. 257, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
