The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Giants spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They are betting Bills proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A real need, handled.
They jumped the gun on Xavier Worthy, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Renardo Green in the 70th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Cam Hart in No. 107. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Trevor Keegan at pick 141 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They reached into another round for Keaton Bills, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
