The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, the 85th pick, roughly 34 picks past where he belonged.
The Allar reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while edge rusher, running back and other spots went begging. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line. More want than need.
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went offensive lineman with Max Iheanachor while clear needs at edge rusher, running back and other spots sat open.
Germie Bernard at No. 76 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
They robbed the room for Emmanuel McNeil-Warren here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They did well to land Treydan Stukes in pick 99, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Gracen Halton in Round 4, Pick 21 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They talked themselves into Drew Allar at the 135th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A reach on Bryce Boettcher in slot 161; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
By-the-book stuff, TJ Hall at the 216th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Eric McAlister in pick 230, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
