You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cardinals did exactly that with Ozzy Trapilo in No. 78. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Graham steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 16 they get an anchor for the defensive front, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Charles Grant in No. 47 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Ozzy Trapilo at the Round 3 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Value said wait; Chase Lundt in Round 4, Pick 13 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
