The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Dallas Gant went at the Round 7 slot, a good 61 picks before the board was ready. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Beebe pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
