The Jaxson Dart selection is the head-turner. The Cowboys reached 53 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Skattebo.

They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Cowboys paired the rookies with proven help, Penei Sewell leading the way.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
