The Patriots put a flag in the ground for Akheem Mesidor, 111 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Getting Paul Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Adding Tyler Guyton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In the end it comes back to Will Johnson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
