When the story of this class is written, it opens with Eli Heidenreich at pick 223, a reach of 28 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
Getting Prysock where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 7 they get an every-down engine for the run game. A clean fit for the roster.
A slide stopped in pick 71, with Keionte Scott worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
By-the-book stuff, Malik Benson at the 147th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They took Matt Gulbin at par in the 187th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They will replay Ephesians Prysock at Round 6, Pick 28 for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A wild overpay on Eli Heidenreich in the Round 7 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
