The rest of the league will want that one back. Logan Jones tumbling to the Commanders in the 147th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Reaching for Kelly left real value on the table behind him. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 7 they get a workhorse for the backfield. A real need, handled.
They paid sticker price for Elijah Sarratt in Round 3, Pick 7, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Logan Jones at the 147th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Ephesians Prysock at the 187th pick squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jeff Caldwell in No. 209, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jack Kelly in the Round 7 slot, miles early. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
