Call it larceny. Hezekiah Masses sat on the board until pick No. 187, and the Commanders did not need to be asked twice. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Lew has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In the 7th overall pick they get a lead back with juice at fair value.
The board had cheaper options than Connor Lew at No. 71, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Malik Benson in slot 147, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

No drama and no debate, Jadon Canady went about where he belonged in the 216th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Noah Whittington at pick No. 223 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
