The Commanders clearly saw something nobody else did in Adam Randall, taking him 52 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Prysock falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.
A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 12 they get a ballhawk on the back end, and a steal at that. More want than need.
Keionte Scott slid further than he should have, and pick 71 is lovely value for the cornerback. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Malik Benson at Round 5, Pick 7 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A tidy little value on Matt Gulbin in pick No. 187, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Ephesians Prysock at the Round 6 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Adam Randall this early at slot 223. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
