They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Dominic Zvada, 71 picks early at pick 237. A mixed bag that lands at C.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Corleone value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Sonny Styles in Round 1, Pick 32, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Emmanuel Pregnon at the 53rd overall pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Somehow Dontay Corleone was still sitting there in the 92nd pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Daylen Everette at No. 99. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A quiet steal in pick 121: Genesis Smith for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Drew Allar in pick No. 135 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A tidy bit of business in Round 5, Pick 12, where Eli Raridon graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
By-the-book stuff, Beau Stephens at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
They liked Kendrick Law enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 179. A need, and now a little less of one.
Toriano Pride Jr. in the 216th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Kaden Wetjen at slot 224 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Fair-plus on Kaelon Black, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
