The Dolphins spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Deontae Lawson, the No. 82 name on the board, in No. 151. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Allen pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Carnell Tate in Round 2, Pick 8, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They barely believed it either: Kenyon Sadiq still on the board at No. 43. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.

Zachariah Branch in the 94th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Antonio Williams in pick 106 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
No drama and no debate, Caden Curry went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 30. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They went early on Kaytron Allen in the 141st pick, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
