2026 NFL Draft
· 8 picks
· 1 steals
· 5 reaches
It is the swing that defines the weekend: Andre Fuller in pick 178, a good 66 spots before the room expected him. A mixed bag that lands at C+.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Landing Durant that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
If Blake Miller and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 23 they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid.
No drama and no debate, Eli Stowers went about where he belonged in pick 54. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Dani Dennis-Sutton at the 68th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
De'Zhaun Stribling at pick No. 98 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Beau Stephens in No. 114 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
They talked themselves into VJ Payne at Round 4, Pick 37, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
A real head-scratcher, Andre Fuller in No. 178 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Zane Durant at the 197th pick is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
