For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bengals walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.

The Mesidor reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
