The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Dolphins spent their marquee pick on Ty Simpson, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. However the rest shakes out, Simpson at that price is a win they earned.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
