The tape said wait; the Seahawks did not. Brenen Thompson went at the Round 2 slot, a good 35 picks before the board was ready. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In No. 32 they get a three-down second-level presence, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Brenen Thompson at the Round 2 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Davison Igbinosun in Round 3, Pick 32. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Taylen Green at the 188th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
