You build a draft on nights like this. Bryce Lance had no business being available in No. 125, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Heidenreich pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
