The Titans went off the board in a big way for Toriano Pride Jr., 66 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Brazzell II at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
They did well to land Jeremiyah Love in No. 9, just ahead of his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
In slot 29 they get a green-dot type in the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
They let Kenyon Sadiq come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Chris Brazzell II at pick No. 66 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Logan Jones in the 101st pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Beau Stephens at Round 5, Pick 2 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Toriano Pride Jr. at pick 144 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
VJ Payne in No. 184 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Circle this one: Aamil Wagner at the Round 6 slot is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Logan Fano in the 225th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
