The Rams torched the value chart for Austin Barber, taking him 51 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 13 they get a press-man option on the boundary. More want than need.
Austin Barber at pick 61 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
The board had cheaper options than Genesis Smith at the 93rd overall pick, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A conviction pick on Sawyer Robertson at the Round 6 slot that the board grades a round light. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Riley Nowakowski at slot 232 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Robert Henry Jr. at No. 251 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kaden Wetjen in pick No. 252 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
