The Ravens put a flag in the ground for Vincent Anthony Jr., 68 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.
Getting Dunker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 14 they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
They took Joshua Josephs at par in the 45th pick, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Gennings Dunker in the 80th overall pick, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for J.C. Davis. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
George Gumbs Jr. in pick No. 154 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nothing to complain about; Zxavian Harris went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Vincent Anthony Jr. in the 173rd overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Travis Burke at No. 174 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They reached into another round for Eric O'Neill, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They barely believed it either: Latrell McCutchin Sr. still on the board at pick 250. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No drama and no debate, Terion Stewart went about where he belonged in slot 253. It fills a real need, too.
