Somebody in Round 1, Pick 32 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Sonny Styles, the No. 11 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Stukes left real value on the table behind him.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 32 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A conviction pick on Treydan Stukes at slot 64 that the board grades a round light. A minor itch, scratched.
They did well to land Ted Hurst in the 96th pick, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A straight-up fair deal on Taylen Green at Round 6, Pick 7, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
