Pittsburgh Steelers
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Steelers a B-.

· 1 reaches
Call it larceny. Devin Moore sat on the board until No. 121, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Nussmeier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line. Need was not the driver here.
They talked themselves into Garrett Nussmeier at Round 2, Pick 21, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Malachi Fields at pick No. 76 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Josiah Trotter in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Steal is underselling it; Kamari Ramsey at No. 99 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Circle this one: Devin Moore at Round 4, Pick 21 is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jack Endries is a better player than the 135th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Skyler Gill-Howard in slot 161. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A slide stopped in pick 216, with Cole Payton worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kaelon Black in the 224th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
Nice patience on Jadon Canady, who had no business lasting to Round 7, Pick 14. The roster fit checks out.
They paid sticker price for Dane Key in slot 237, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
