Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Titans were there to profit. Anthony Hill Jr., the No. 39 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 3 slot.
The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Barrett left real value on the table behind him.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a double-digit-sack hope at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Nothing to complain about; Chris Brazzell II went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Anthony Hill Jr. in the Round 3 slot, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A cornerback of that caliber at slot 101 is the definition of value, full stop. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
The board had Parker Brailsford higher than pick No. 142, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They did well to land Jakobe Thomas in the 144th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Nate Boerkircher in No. 184 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Nick Barrett at pick 194 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Harrison Wallace III in slot 225 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
