The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Giants watched Daylen Everette slide 24 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
If Allen pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Kadyn Proctor at slot 5 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kayden McDonald at the Round 2 slot. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
The board fumbled Daylen Everette all the way to pick No. 105, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Cyrus Allen. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No drama and no debate, J'Mari Taylor went about where he belonged in the 186th overall pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.

Red Murdock at the 193rd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
