The rest of the league will want that one back. A.J. Haulcy tumbling to the Rams in Round 3, Pick 29 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Reaching for Muhammad left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A real head-scratcher, Malik Muhammad in No. 61 is miles ahead of his ranking. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A.J. Haulcy at the Round 3 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
You do not let a quarterback like Taylen Green reach Round 6, Pick 26 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Fa'alili Fa'amoe in slot 232, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Josh Cuevas at pick No. 251. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A reach for Daevin Hobbs in pick 252; a little patience would have been rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
