Call it larceny. Jihaad Campbell sat on the board until pick 138, and the Vikings did not need to be asked twice. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: safety settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th pick they get a two-high chess piece at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They robbed the room for Omarion Hampton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Jihaad Campbell in No. 138 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Jake Majors in pick No. 159 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
