The Cowboys spent real capital to be 65 picks early on Taylen Green, and the board is going to hold them to it. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Getting Singleton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a load in the middle at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Omarion Hampton at pick 43 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 3 slot, where LT Overton graded well above the range. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Danny Stutsman in the 74th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jayden Higgins at No. 114 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Taking Jake Majors in the 148th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nicholas Singleton in slot 168 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Taylen Green in Round 6, Pick 34 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
