The trade table was a mismatch, and the Giants were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.
Clark falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with safety the one that mattered most.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.

In No. 17 they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Calen Bullock. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

Tate Ratledge at the 114th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Miyan Williams at Round 6, Pick 8 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
De'Corian Clark at slot 195 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
