The one they had to fix is still broken. The Panthers left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
That Bisontis pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th pick they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Value with a capital V on Chris Bell in the Round 2 slot, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Chase Bisontis at No. 86 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Julian Neal in the 119th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
By-the-book stuff, Parker Brailsford at Round 4, Pick 23 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Louis Moore at pick 158 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.

Jeremiah Wright at pick No. 200 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
