Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Davis pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They are betting Jones proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.27 · Pick 27 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 29
In the Round 1 slot they get an enforcer at safety. More want than need.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 43
A straight-up fair deal on Kris Jenkins at pick No. 41, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R2.25 · Pick 57 · Jonathon Brooks · RB · rank 61
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jonathon Brooks. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Malachi Corley · WR · rank 76
Malachi Corley in pick 88 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 80
A slide stopped in the 91st overall pick, with Mike Sainristil worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Kris Abrams-Draine · CB · rank 122
Fair-plus on Kris Abrams-Draine, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.1 · Pick 137 · James Williams · S · rank 135
By-the-book stuff, James Williams at Round 5, Pick 1 squarely in line with his ranking. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
R5.32 · Pick 168 · Grayson Murphy · DL-EDGE · rank 174
Grayson Murphy at slot 168 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · Isaiah Davis · RB · rank 190
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Isaiah Davis at the Round 6 slot is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R6.41 · Pick 216 · Jordan Magee · LB · rank 213
A tidy little value on Jordan Magee in pick No. 216, a step better than break-even. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.23 · Pick 243 · Steele Chambers · LB · rank 246
No edge and no loss on Steele Chambers in pick 243; it is a wash and a sensible one. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
R7.31 · Pick 251 · Matthew Jones · OG · rank 260
A premium they did not need to pay, Matthew Jones a notch or two before his time. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
