They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Vikings' quarterback, full stop.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Pritchett. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 3 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A safety of that caliber at No. 122 is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Steal is underselling it; Isaac Guerendo at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It fills a real need, too.
Nehemiah Pritchett at the 167th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A quiet steal in the 177th pick: Sataoa Laumea for less than the market said. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A slide stopped in slot 232, with Jaylan Ford worth more than the price. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
The board fumbled Julian Pearl all the way to pick 257, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
