The rest of the league will want that one back. Chase Bisontis tumbling to the Bears in slot 241 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Ashton Jeanty deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
So much rides on David Bailey that the real verdict is a season or two away.

Circle this one: David Bailey at the 36th pick is a fall that decides a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Spencer Fano at No. 57 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Kayden McDonald reach pick 60 and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board fumbled Sonny Styles all the way to slot 89, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
