It is the swing that defines the weekend: Eric O'Neill in pick No. 227, a good 42 spots before the room expected him. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Haulcy falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Jordyn Tyson at pick 36 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Dani Dennis-Sutton at the 52nd pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chase Bisontis at the Round 2 slot is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Circle this one: A.J. Haulcy at No. 75 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Domonique Orange at Round 3, Pick 31 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Connor Lew in the 102nd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Isaiah World in Round 4, Pick 25 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
A wild overpay on Kaytron Allen in slot 131, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr at the 158th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Aiden Fisher in the Round 6 slot, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Lander Barton in pick No. 208 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A need, and now a little less of one.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jeff Caldwell in pick 212, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
